Hello world, and welcome to Edinburgh. Well, at least my little part of Edinburgh.
You might be wondering why my blog is called ‘Sitting on my mummy’s knee’? I suppose that is where we first get told stories, and I hope this blog will tell you some stories, just like my mummy told me. It is also a play on an old Scottish nursery rhyme, “Ali Bali Bee” who actually sat on his daddy’s knee. Since I have been called Ali Bali for most of my life, it seemed appropriate.
For the nosey amongst you, I live in Edinburgh with my partner Nadia, her grown up daughter and our two cats Leo and Lucy.
I do write for a living, well kind of. My line of work is corporate communications management, and that does its best to stifle my creativity. So I hope this blog will be an outlet for some ramblings, rants and rubbish.
It’s nice to be here.
